Any help on this would be awesome i searched and got nothing.
2 bar map sensor max boost.
1 bar map sensors are used on na naturally aspirated vehicles.
It is alot easier to tune the maf than even a 1 bar never mind a 2 or 3 bar sd ve table and i have done many sd tunes.
2 bar map sensors are used on forced induction vehicles turbo supercharged.
You are true on this if you have a 16 x 16 map there is only so many values they can give you if you have 5 bar map your going to need bigger jumps between columns if you can change the map valves yourelf it won t be to bad what i do in megasquirt is make very few vaccum columns and more boost columns but in general you should run a map sensor that maxs out right around the boost your are.
A maf tune will work fine on a low boost application 4 6 psi if your maf is not maxed out.
Is the stock map sensor on the srt 4 a standard 2 bar sensor or is it unique.
This enhancement contains the following features.
I totally agree that on a higher boost application a 2 or 3 bar sd os is required.
They can measure up to 2x the apmospheric pressure 29 4psi so that means it can measure up to 14 7psi boost the atmosphere is 14 7psi 14 7psi from the turbo supercharger.
The ecm will know its in boost once it sees airflow values over 14 7psi aka 1bar no way a regular na motor can push more than barometric pressure it would defy physics.
If it is unique does anyone know what each voltage value corresponds to in boost vaccuum.
2 5 bar max map sensor support calibration capability for gm 0 5v linear map sensors new boost ve table from 105 kpa to 255 kpa 2 5 bar or 22 5 psi boost retains stock ve table resolution in non boost regions.
They can measure up to 2x the atmospheric pressure 29 4psi so that means it can measure up to 14 7psi boost the atmosphere is 14 7psi 14 7psi from the turbo supercharger.
